US soldiers injured in seven countries as lightly as Liepāja tram passengers at turns

200 US soldiers injured during the Iran war, but most have already returned to duty at the same speed as our tram after repairs.
The Pentagon, with the same calm demeanor as a Liepāja tram driver announcing that today we'll only go as far as Rose Square, informed that 200 US soldiers were injured in seven countries during the Iran war.
Captain Tim Hawkins explained that most injuries were minor, and 180 soldiers have already returned to duty. This is about as inspiring as news that our tram, after standing still in Karosta for three hours, is finally heading back to the city center. True, 10 soldiers were categorized as seriously injured, which is roughly the same number of people who painfully get stuck in tram doors every morning.
Soldiers were injured in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. That's more countries than our tram serves neighborhoods, but fewer than Riga buses run routes per day.
Local military expert Jānis from Karosta commented: "Well, at least they know which countries they're in. On our tram you sometimes don't know if you're heading to the Northern suburbs or South Kurzeme." In total, 13 US soldiers died, which is tragic, but statistically fewer than people who fall off Liepāja tram steps per year.
The Pentagon promised to continue informing the public with the same regularity as our tram follows its schedule – that is, whenever it happens to work out.
