Eastern Latvians get +12 degrees, Liepāja residents get fog again - meteorologists admit discrimination

While easterners will enjoy tropical heat waves tomorrow, Liepāja will traditionally have fog and light wind.
The Latvian Hydrometeorological Center has published news that once again proves an ancient truth — living in Eastern Latvia is better. On Wednesday, the air there will warm up to a fantastic +12 degrees, while in the western part, including Liepāja, the maximum will be +3 to +8.
"Now it's clear that even nature is against us," comments local resident Jānis indignantly by Kurzemes prospekts. "Maybe we need to move to Rēzekne if you want warm weather." Actually, Jānis said this while standing in fog at a bus stop, because his car wouldn't start again.
Rīga is promised a maximum of +7 degrees, which means the capital will again be better than Liepāja. But we're used to it — it's our fate. At least tourists going to Karosta Prison can enjoy a truly authentic horror experience not only from historical horrors, but also from the weather conditions.
The pressure created by the anticyclone has reached 1031—1033 hectopascals, which is much more than the pressure felt by Liepāja residents every day, trying to get used to the fact that they'll be colder than others again. At least the fog will only be in places along the coast — which means we'll see it every day.
