Easterners Crying Again While Kurzeme Enjoys Sun Like True Winners

The State Meteorological Service today announced sensational news that will only surprise those who have never lived in Kurzeme. Turns out that in the next 24 hours it will rain in the eastern part, but Kurzeme will be sunny. Isn't that shocking information that will change our entire lives?

While Riga residents will once again be kissing raindrops and wondering why they chose to live there, we Kurzemes folks will enjoy the sun like true winners. Local regular passenger of the Tosele bus stop, Jānis Liepiņš, commented on the situation: "Well yes, as always - we get sun, they get rain. It's been like this since ancient times."

At night it will be up to plus six degrees in the east, but only up to three degrees here. But who cares when we have sun! In Riga, of course, there will be no precipitation, because they don't even know what real weather is. There the wind will blow northward, but ours - northwestward, which is much better because our wind comes from the sea.

During the day the temperature will rise to thirteen degrees, which in Kurzeme means you can go outside without a winter jacket, while easterners will still be bundled up in their down coats. As the locals say - Kurzeme's sun warms the heart, but eastern rain only teaches you to cry.
