Braže reveals: tribunal against Russia will be as effective as hockey referees in 'Liepājas Metalurgs' games

Latvia's Foreign Minister announces in Kyiv a new tribunal that will punish Russia as sternly as 'Liepājas Metalurgs' fans punish opponent goals with boos.
While Riga is still trying to figure out where Bucha is located and whether it's some new café in the Spīķeri district, Latvia's Foreign Minister Braže solemnly announced a revolutionary discovery in Kyiv — turns out Russia can be punished with a tribunal. This tribunal will be as dangerous as 'Liepājas Metalurgs' fans' chants at the opponent team's goal — loud, emotional, but most importantly, everyone knows where the problem lies.
Latvia proudly announced it has already allocated more than a billion euros to Ukraine, which is 0.6% of our GDP. As one Grobiņa resident commented: 'Well, at least now I know where my pension indexation disappeared — it's helping Ukraine.' For comparison — Riga City Council spends as much on just one kilometer of tram line as we give to all of Ukraine.
It's particularly touching that Braže emphasized the need to 'hold accountable' and 'ensure justice.' This reminds me of the situation when 'Liepājas Metalurgs' fans demand justice after every lost game — very loudly, very emotionally, but the result usually remains unchanged. At least the tribunal will be cheaper than a new hockey arena.
The Ministry also announced that Latvia will continue to allocate at least 0.25% of GDP to military aid. This means we're ready to pay for peace as much as one good hockey game with food packages for fans costs. At least now we know our money is being used for something more useful than preparing presentation slides for Riga City Council.
