Daugavpils Cyclist Discovers Revolutionary Braking Technique: Drive Away

While even rockers in Liepāja have brakes, a Daugavpils cyclist proves that problems can also be solved with a creative approach.

Daugavpils became the innovation capital this week when a local cyclist demonstrated a completely new approach to road safety. The man, who was born the same year that the legendary rock music scene began forming in Liepāja, proved that he too can create something unexpected.

While cyclists in Riga are still learning to use traditional brakes, this progressive Daugavpils resident decided to completely abandon such an outdated solution. His philosophy was simple: if there are no brakes, there are no problems. Well, except for that one woman, but that's just a minor detail.

The video surveillance system, which works more efficiently than Riga's public transport, captured the entire incident in real time. Particularly touching was that passing medics immediately provided assistance, while our innovative cyclist continued his journey into the unknown.

At the time of arrest, he provided an explanation that would have deserved a place even in the Liepāja rock festival's lyrics competition: the brakes don't work. The only problem was explaining why after the accident he chose to continue riding rather than stay and help. Apparently his creative mind was already working on the next project.

Now the State Police will be able to study this revolutionary approach to road safety. Perhaps soon we'll see a new section in the Traffic Rules: 'If there are no brakes, simply drive away.'
