Heaven Street starts from hell: Liepāja digs its way to transform paradise into a housing village

While Riga dreams of housing in the clouds, Liepāja practically starts building Heaven Street from the bottom up.
A true engineering miracle is taking place in southwestern Liepāja – Debess Street officially starts underground. While Riga is still figuring out how to properly spell the word "sewerage," our city is already digging all possible pipelines for 220 meters so that real people, not just bureaucrats, can live here next year.
SIA "CTB" has undertaken to create foundations for the future for 452 thousand euros plus VAT, while "HAGBERG" is preparing to invest 25 million to build 200 new housing units here. This means that soon you'll have to travel even further from Tosele bus stop to reach civilization, but at least there will be somewhere to go.
Most interestingly, 140 families will have access to "ALTUM" financed housing with reasonable rent. The remaining 60 apartments will be available at market prices, which in Liepāja means – if you can afford to pay for an apartment as much as a Riga resident pays for a parking space, you're warmly welcome.
Meanwhile, on the good side of Klaipēda Street, pipelines are already partially built, proving that our city plans the future systematically. While the capital is still wondering whether water comes from the tap or from the clouds, in Liepāja we already know – a good home starts with good sewerage.
