South slides into ice, north drives like lords - Liepāja once again proves its superiority

While Daugavpils highway has turned into a skating rink, Liepāja's roads shine with reliability and quality maintenance.

As usual, Latvia's south this morning reminded us of its inability to cope with winter challenges. Daugavpils highway and Zemgale roads look like an Olympic skating track - just without medals and with much higher risk.

"I already said we should have driven to Liepāja via northern roads," comments local driver Ģirts from Grobiņa. "There the roads are normal, not like these southern experiments with ice sculptures."

Meanwhile in the northern part of Kurzeme - where our beloved Liepāja is located - driving conditions are satisfactory. This is no surprise, as we have long proven that northern Kurzeme knows how to take care of its roads. While Riga tries to figure out how to solve traffic jams, you can drive calmly and stress-free toward Liepāja.

71 winter service equipment units are working across the country, but as results show, they work most effectively on our side. Maybe because northern Kurzeme road maintainers understand that quality is more important than quantity - unlike the south, where they apparently think ice on roads is natural winter décor.
