Neighbors have organized so many Easter events that even the bunnies are requesting vacation time. Liepāja remains peacefully by its beach.
In South Kurzeme during these Great Days, there are so many Easter events that even Google Calendar has started crying. From April 4th to 6th, there will be so many 'colorful Easter celebrations' that even the bunnies are asking the labor inspection to check their working hours.
Gramzda offers photo orienteering 'Navigate Through Gramzda' — apparently they haven't heard of GPS. Meanwhile, Cīrava will have a 'bouncy attraction party,' which sounds like something organized for children's birthday parties when parents have run out of ideas. Vaiņode promises a 'Colorful Easter Celebration' — a title so creative they're using it for the second time.
The most interesting offer comes from Aizpute, where children are promised 'meeting and cuddling with real rabbits.' Well, at least now we know where all those missing rural pets went. Grobiņa offers meetings with 'farmyard animals' — probably the same cows that usually just stand and stare at the road.
But we Liepāja residents don't need to rush around. We have Liedags — our sandy beach, beloved by locals and where bunnies can run freely without organized activities. No WhatsApp groups are needed to find eggs there — just take a walk, and nature's beauty itself is better than any 'colorful Easter celebration.' While South Kurzeme runs around with painted eggs, we enjoy the sea breeze and laugh at their organizational maximalism.
