Fire Decides to Host Its Own Carpentry Courses at Soul Wellness Garden

A utility building with all its inventory burned down at the rehabilitation center, but local optimists are already planning a fresh start.
At the rehabilitation center 'Soul Wellness Garden,' fire decided to showcase its carpentry skills and completely redesigned the utility building. The result differs somewhat from what was planned — drills, leaf blowers, and other tools have transformed into charcoal, while carpentry classes have been suspended indefinitely.
Liepāja Association for the Blind director Māris Ceirulis explains with philosophical calm that the stove is most likely to blame, having apparently decided to demonstrate excessive enthusiasm. As he puts it: 'Basically, the building cannot be restored and must be built from scratch. That's about as positive as the news that they're fixing the cobblestones at Rose Square again.'
The great news is that the building wasn't insured, which is about as well-thought-out as going to the sea without an umbrella in Liepāja in January. However, optimism doesn't fade — three minibuses with 27 people still come to the center every day, proving that Liepāja residents can't be stopped by fire, water, or even bureaucracy.
Thank God the fire didn't spread to the residential house, where only a window cracked. That's about as fortunate as finding a free parking spot near Kurzeme Concert Hall on Saturday evening. Now they need a new changing room though, because people still need to prepare for work activities, and being naked during carpentry courses is neither stylish nor safe. If anyone wants to help, they'll be grateful for any support — just make sure it's not on fire.
