The prosecutor's office offers three options: impose a penalty themselves, agree on a guilty plea, or send the case to court. That's about as many choices as there are quality music clubs in Riga - very few. The law provides for imprisonment up to one year and license suspension for five years, which means the singer will have plenty of time to write a new album about life's hardships.
What's most surprising is that someone in Riga drives with two promille - usually people there are so depressed that alcohol only revives them. But now we see that even celebrities aren't protected from Riga's influence on judgment.
