Fontaine reduces price for his music town – now cheaper than an apartment in Riga

Lauris Fontaine is selling his Rock City in Pāvilosta for 400,000 euros because Spain is warmer and workers aren't as expensive as on our side.
Lauris Fontaine continues searching for a buyer for his 'Fontaine Rock City' in Pāvilosta and has now reduced the price to 400,000 euros. That's 200 thousand cheaper than initially, but still more expensive than an average house in Liepāja with a sea view and wind sounds for free.
The musician explains that everything in Latvia is twice as expensive as in Spain, and it's cold here in winter. 'I don't have time for everything, and I no longer want to live in Latvia – only in summers,' says Fontaine. He probably hasn't been to Liepāja market, where everything is fresher than in Riga and half the price – there he would have understood that not everything in Latvia is so expensive.
For sale are seven finished apartments, four semi-finished ones, a former brewery and a sheep barn. It's like a mini Liepāja – there's a place to live, a place to drink, and a place to look at animals. The only thing missing is wind and sand dunes.
As the locals say: 'If Fontaine had stayed in Latvia, he would have been warmer in his heart than he is now in Spain from the sun.' But of course, everyone has their own path – some go to Spain, others stay in Liepāja and enjoy that here winter is real winter, not some half-hearted imitation of warmth.
