Renault driver on Ganību Street demonstrates French driving style — without looking in mirrors

While a Citroën driver was learning extreme parking skills on the sidewalk, the Renault driver proved that Ganību Street can also be full of surprises.
Yesterday on Ganību Street there was yet another proof that for some drivers, changing lanes is as unpredictable as the weather in Liedags — one moment peacefully sandy, the next windy and full of surprises.
The Renault driver, who had apparently forgotten that mirrors aren't just for beauty, decided to change lanes from left to right without any prior notice. As a result, the Citroën driver, who probably thought he was driving on a normal road rather than a slalom course, was forced to demonstrate his off-road skills on the sidewalk.
"I don't know what he was looking at," comments local resident Jānis, "but definitely not the road. Maybe some beautiful view toward Liedags or thinking about dinner. Here on Ganību Street we don't really have that much to look at to forget about driving."
Fortunately, no one was injured, only the Citroën got a few scratches from its sidewalk adventure. The State Police have already initiated administrative proceedings against the Renault driver, who will now perhaps learn that changing lanes is not just a desire, but also a skill.
