Hegset Promises More Intensive Strikes on Iran — Organ at Liepāja Cathedral Plays More Peaceful Melodies

US Defense Minister Hegset yesterday proudly announced the most intensive day of strikes on Iranian territory, mentioning more bombers and destroyers than ever before. Such love of statistics in Liepāja only elicited understanding nods — we've known for years that quantity doesn't always mean quality. Such logic would raise questions in Liepāja even among those who have never visited the military museum in Karosta. As local café owner Māra commented: "If I shot myself in the foot, would I then say the neighbors did it with my gun?"

While Hegset counts mine ships and naval blockades in the Persian Gulf, Liepāja peacefully continues managing our waters without the drama of international conflicts. Maybe that's exactly why our port operates more efficiently than Riga's — fewer empty promises, more concrete results.
