Israel eliminates Iranian commander with the same precision as a Liepāja metalworker's shot at goal

Israeli air forces liquidate Basij commander, while in Liepāja we wonder - why can't people just go to hockey and boo the opposing team.
Israeli air forces yesterday carried out such a precise operation that even Liepāja metalworker fans would have applauded. They liquidated Golamreza Suleimani, who for six years commanded Iran's paramilitary unit 'Basij'. For comparison - our metalworkers also have fanatical supporters, but they only chant against Riga hockey players, not suppress protests.
'Basij' is an organization that specializes in suppressing internal dissidents, which would be impossible in Liepāja. Here, if someone doesn't want to go to work, they simply don't get paid, and the problem solves itself. No violence, no drama.
Iranian authorities use 'Basij' as their main instrument of repression, but in Liepāja we have a different approach - if someone acts up, they simply aren't told when the next metalworker match is happening. That's a much more effective punishment than any paramilitary activity.
Local commentator Jānis from Vecliepāja admits: 'These Easterners solve everything with violence. Here, if someone doesn't get it, we simply don't take them along to Grobiņa for beer. And immediately everything becomes clear.'
While such conflicts continue in the Middle East, in Liepāja we resolve disputes more civilly - with hockey sticks and only on the ice rink.
