Karosta Commander with Diplomatic Regiment Heads to Kyiv to Prove That Liepāja is the Capital of the Baltics

While Riga politicians struggle to explain where Latvia is located on the map, our Evika is already marching confidently through Kyiv's streets alongside a whole Nordic army. Baltic and Nordic leaders have arrived in Ukraine's capital, and among them, naturally, our Liepāja native – Prime Minister Evika Siliņa.

As local Karosta veteran Jānis Bērziņš tells us: "You see, our girl is standing there next to all those Finns and Danes, and they're all listening to what she says. Riga will never have that kind of authority!" Indeed, while the capital is still trying to figure out what diplomacy is, Liepāja's protégé is already leading international politics.

Particularly amusing is the fact that Lithuania is only represented by their defense minister. Obviously their president was afraid of Evika's powerful presence and sent a substitute instead. Of course – who could possibly stand up to a Liepāja woman's character, forged in Karosta's winds and downpours?

Meanwhile, while Riga's mayor is probably still trying to find Ukraine on a map, our Evika is already planning her next visit to Washington. As Liepāja folks say: "If you want something done properly, send someone from Liepāja!"
