Kozlovskis Orders 112.lv Problem Solved Faster Than Fishermen Catch Fish

While Riga is still trying to figure out how to put batteries inside a mobile phone, Kozlovskis is already demanding that the 112.lv website work even when mysterious objects fly over Latvia. Monday evening, when suspicious drones were spotted in Balvi and Ludza, the homepage went down for a moment — apparently the server got scared too.

The minister's conclusions are threefold: cell broadcasting worked well, VUGD is as ready as fishermen in our harbor with their freshly caught fish, but the 112.lv website needs to be more stable than a Liepaja storm season. "Technical nuances need to be resolved," said Kozlovskis — which is a diplomatic way of saying "why the hell does the server go down exactly when we need it most."

"We were ready for everything, but not for the website not working," admitted one VUGD employee who wished to remain anonymous. "Even our old fax machine would work better."
