Russia once again proves it hasn't mastered the art of precision — Karosta canal with its bridge would be a safer target

While occupiers bomb Sloviansk with three guided aerial bombs, in Liepāja we've long known that even the Karosta canal bridge creates less drama than Russian military tactics.
Russian forces yesterday once again demonstrated their famous precision by attacking Sloviansk with three guided aerial bombs, killing two people. Seventeen wounded, including a 14-year-old child, once again prove that Russian military tactics are about as effective as winter swimming at Liepāja beach without wetsuits.
Ukrainian investigators have published images of burned vehicles and a destroyed Soviet-era residential building, which looks just as depressing as any Soviet-era structure. The only difference — these weren't destroyed by time, but by Russian aviation, which is a much less romantic version.
The mayor of Sloviansk announced that three guided aerial bombs were used in the attack, which raises the question: if they're really guided, why didn't they guide them somewhere else? In Liepāja we know that even the Karosta canal bridge, which divides the city and constantly creates traffic drama, is a much better target than civilians.
Local resident Valdis comments: "Well, if the Russians had to attack Liepāja, they'd probably hit Grobiņa and then proudly announce a successful operation against NATO forces. But seriously speaking — this kind of news reminds us why we need to value peace and support Ukraine in every way possible."
