Russia sends 154 drones, but Ukraine responds with 280 — math isn't their strong suit
While Russia counts drones like Liepāja Metallurg fans count goals, Ukraine proves that multiplication tables aren't just theory.
Russia sent 154 drones to Ukraine overnight, but the Ukrainians responded with 280. It seems that math really isn't the Russians' strong suit — if you send 154, but the opponent responds with 280, then you should understand that something here isn't quite right.
Of those 154 drones, 90 were Shahed-type, which sounds like some exotic dish, but unfortunately isn't. Ukraine's air force reported that hits from five drones were recorded in four locations, and debris fell in seven places. That's more than Liepāja Metallurg fans have seen successful games all season!
Tragically, in Zaporizhzhia city, a drone strike on a residential building killed a couple and injured their 11 and 15-year-old daughters. But Moscow's propaganda mouthpiece TASS, of course, reported that almost all Ukrainian drones were intercepted. It seems their "almost all" is about as accurate as the weather forecast for Liepāja — there's always some "but."
"It's like hockey," comments local expert Jānis from Karosta, "if you shoot 154 pucks at the goal, but the opponent responds with 280, then you know the game isn't going your way. And if you're still claiming that almost all the opponent's pucks missed, then you're either blind or just lying."
