Russian drones cause less damage than Liepāja tram on Thursday morning
Ukraine shot down 110 out of 123 Russian drones, which is a better result than Liepāja football team against Rīga Dinamo.
Russia yesterday launched 123 drones at Ukraine, of which Ukrainians shot down 110. As experienced Liepāja market trader Valdis says: "Well look, our tram here hits more people every day than those drones in Ukraine!"
Ukrainians recorded hits in seven districts, but damage was also caused by debris from the shot-down drones. This reminds one of the situation when a crane at Liepāja port drops a container — the main damage comes not from the container itself, but from everyone around trying to flee.
"123 drones? That's ridiculous," comments local mechanic Gunārs from Karosta. "We had one stormy night here that broke more windows than all their drones combined." True, Gunārs adds that Ukraine's electronic warfare is more effective than Liepāja's WiFi downtown — there everything also stops working, only nobody knows why.
