Russian drone tries to photograph French ship, but receives Swedish tramway ticket

An unknown aircraft from a Russian vessel attempted to conduct an unauthorized tourist excursion around a French aircraft carrier, but the Swedes quickly explained the traffic rules to it.

An interesting international incident occurred in the Øresund strait near Malmö. A Russian electronic reconnaissance ship decided to send its drone on an informal meet-and-greet with the French aircraft carrier 'Charles de Gaulle'. The drone apparently didn't have a valid visa for such a visit.

The Swedish armed forces, seeing this unauthorized aerial tourism, decided to immediately explain the local regulations to the visitor. Their electronic warfare systems worked so perfectly that the drone received the fastest route to the seabed — approximately seven nautical miles away from the French ship.

'We don't have Liepāja port here, where all guests are welcome, nor is this a Karosta prison excursion route,' commented one of the Swedish sailors. 'Unauthorized drones are not welcomed here.'

A French General Staff representative noted that their team's operations were not disrupted, as the Swedish systems worked perfectly. The drone most likely had no clue that the French are much more polite guests than Russian reconnaissance equipment. Now this drone will be able to study marine life from a completely different perspective — from the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
