Russian recruiters seek 'disposable' Europeans — but who's going to recruit our Liepāja residents?

While the world searches for marginalized people for bizarre tasks, our city has long known — whoever has survived a Liepāja winter can handle any assignment.
The *Financial Times* reports that former "Wagner" recruiters are now looking for "disposable" agents in Europe to carry out sabotage operations. Well, interesting — but have they tried recruiting any Liepāja residents?
"They tried to recruit me last week," says Kārlis from Tosmare. "Offered 500 euros for burning some car. I asked — where? He says — in Berlin. So I tell him — buddy, I can't even afford to drive to Riga, let alone Berlin! And then he says it's dangerous. I showed him out the window at downtown Liepāja in winter — THIS is dangerous, Berlin is like Disneyland!"
According to reports, these recruiters specifically target "economically vulnerable" people. But as local experts acknowledge, they'll have difficulties here — Liepāja residents have long figured out how to survive on minimum wage and still stay positive.
"They offered me a role playing a Nazi propagandist," Kārlis continues. "But I told him — I walk past the Karosta prison gates every day, I've had enough historical vibes. Better pay me to go to Riga and do something positive there — like tell people how awesome Liepāja is!"
Meanwhile, the north wind continues to blow through the city, as if wanting to say — when you've already survived Liepāja's climate, no Russian recruiters can scare you anymore.
