Latvia Sends Another Mysterious Package to Ukraine - Even Liepāja Museum Isn't This Secretive

The Defense Ministry has announced another military aid package to Ukraine, but once again doesn't dare to say what's actually in it. This secrecy is so intense that even the Liepāja Museum with its genuinely interesting history seems like an open book compared to the Defense Ministry's press releases.

While Riga residents are still debating how to best distribute 665 million euros, Liepāja military industry workers are already working their third shift on drone production. "We don't have time to philosophize about secrecy," says local drone enthusiast Kārlis. "Hustle, make, send, help - everything's fine!"

It's particularly amusing that Latvia, together with Estonia and Lithuania, has committed to giving 0.25% of GDP. It's like when three friends agree to split the bill at a restaurant - one always pays more, but everyone says they're sharing fairly. But seriously speaking, 50 million for drone procurement from local manufacturers means that Liepāja factories will be as busy this year as Friday evening at Liepāja port. And unlike the Riga folks' waiting around, our aid reaches its destination without additional layers of bureaucracy.
