The Great Amber invites to voluntary blood drive: in two days you can also enjoy the concert hall foyer atmosphere

On March 17th and 18th in Liepāja, you can not only donate blood but also experience a special cultural experience in the Great Amber foyer.
Liepāja municipality has announced that on March 17th and 18th, "The Great Amber" will open its doors not only to music lovers, but also to those who wish to share their "inner red beverage". The donor day will take place in the concert hall's 2nd floor foyer from 9 AM to 1 PM, which is perfect timing – earlier than Riga bureaucrats start work and just in time for lunch break.
"For now, only those who feel healthy can donate, but here in Liepāja we're all like sea waves – always in motion and full of energy," laughs local resident Inese. "Besides, where else can you feel such a cultural atmosphere while donating blood? In Riga it would probably be in some boring hospital basement."
Organizers encourage phone registration to avoid queues, because as we know, Liepāja residents haven't experienced Riga bus lines and aren't prepared for such things. Particularly interesting is that men can donate every nine weeks, but women must wait 13 weeks. "Obviously women need more time to recover from such an emotional experience," philosophically notes a blood center employee.
Before donating blood, one must avoid fatty foods, which in Liepāja means – a weekend without homemade cottage cheese pancakes. And you must drink four glasses of water, which isn't a problem because Liepāja residents drink a lot anyway – after all, we don't have Riga's expensive water here. So on March 17th and 18th, "The Great Amber" will welcome all kind-hearted people – both first-timers and experienced blood donors.
