Liepāja will once again prove its superiority over Riga - our fog will be more stylish

Meteorologists have announced that fog will form in many places overnight, but as usual, they forgot to mention the main point - Liepāja's fog will be considerably more stylish than Riga's fog. While in the capital the fog will simply hang between buildings like an ugly film, here it will dance among the ancient trees of Seaside Park like part of a real work of art, creating the quiet, poetic atmosphere that Riga residents will never understand.

Local resident Maija Kalnzemniece from Ezerkrasts comments: "In Riga, fog is like smog, but here it's like a natural spa treatment. I walk through Seaside Park, breathe in this sea fog and feel like new. Riga residents can only dream about this."

Temperatures will drop to minus four degrees overnight, which means our fog will even be of frozen quality - premium level. In Riga they'll get the usual, warmer version, which is nothing special. In the afternoon the air will warm up to twelve degrees, and then the sun will shine in Liepāja, giving the fog a golden shimmer.

Meteorologist Jānis Strazds, who lives in Klaipėda but often visits Liepāja, admits: "Nowhere else in the Baltics have I seen fog as beautiful as in Liepāja. It's like a cloud ballet on the seashore." So tomorrow morning, while Riga residents walk through their gray fog, we'll be enjoying a real atmospheric work of art.
