In Liepāja, dancers proved they can move more synchronously than Riga public transport

Kurzeme dance groups gathered in Liepāja to prove that even the most complex steps are simpler than finding a free parking spot at the Olympic Center.
A Kurzeme dance group showcase took place in Liepāja, where dancers from all over Kurzeme gathered to prove - if we can be organized into one rhythm, then there's really no comparison to Riga's transport problems.
The Latvian National Culture Center jury evaluated both technical performance and artistic quality, which is about as complicated as finding a free parking spot at Liepāja's Olympic Center on a Saturday afternoon. However, unlike pool visitors, the dancers knew exactly where they needed to go.
In the first part of the day, youth groups performed, proving they can coordinate steps better than the government can coordinate the budget. Local choreographer Ilze commented: "The children danced so beautifully that even Riga's cultural workers could have learned something."
In the evening, older generation dancers took the stage, demonstrating that experience is more important than speed. As one participant said: "We've been dancing so long that we remember times when even Riga had good transport." The jury acknowledged that such synchronization would be useful in other areas too - for example, to teach Parliament members to vote simultaneously.
