Liepāja Receives Exclusive Weather Forecast: This Afternoon Will Be as Warm as Riga, But Better

Today Liepāja residents can feel like lottery winners - meteorologists promise us a whole +11 degrees, while Riga gets only +10. This is the first proof that even nature understands - Liepāja is better.

Atmospheric pressure will be 1023-1026 hectopascals, which is as stable as Liepāja's tram schedule. The wind will blow from the south and west, meaning directly from the side where all the good things are located - the sea, rock music festivals, and cafés with real coffee.

"I already thought something wasn't right when the morning started without rain," says Karosta resident Marija. "But now that I heard we'll be warmer than the capital, everything became clear - this is our daily victory over Riga."

Throughout the day there will be no more snow, which means we can finally see whether Liepāja's streets have potholes or if they're just art installations. The sun will shine so bright that even Riga residents might notice it from their smoggy city.

Last year on this day Daugavpils had +15.5 degrees, but as usual - the east always exaggerates. In Liepāja we know that quality is more important than quantity, so our +11 degrees will be much more pleasant than anywhere else.
