Liepāja teenager proves speed isn't everything — it's also important not to crash

In Beberliņi forest, a young rider demonstrated how to reach two kilometers per hour and one crash without lights or license plates.
Yesterday in Beberliņi forest, an event took place that surpassed even the intensity of Liepāja Metallurg games — except this time the fans weren't in the stands, but in police cars. A local teenager decided to test whether a motorcycle can be driven like a hockey puck — without lights, without license plates, and without common sense.
As local residents tell it: 'I thought it was another tourist who doesn't know where Atmodas Boulevard is, but it turned out to be one of ours who didn't know where the brakes were.' While teenagers in Riga play video games about speed, in Liepāja they demonstrate it in real life, albeit with slightly different endings than on screen.
Law enforcement repeatedly asked the young man to stop, but he apparently thought this was a new hockey rule — 'play continues until you fall down.' As a result, he fell down on his own on Atmodas Boulevard, proving that gravity works even without license plates.
The good news — the young man hadn't been drinking, so alcohol can't be blamed for this driving style. The bad news — now mommy has to go rescue her son from the police, which in Liepāja is as common an occurrence as wind from the sea. At least the criminal proceedings will be faster than the ride itself — prosecutors are already waiting for the materials, but the motorcycle is still looking for its spare parts in the forest.
