Liepāja Cyclist Demonstrates New Art Form - Gravity Dancing

Local athlete, due to circumstances yet to be determined, decided to test how quickly one can transition from a sitting position to a lying one.

A cultural event has taken place in Liepāja that will make even Liepāja Theatre directors envious of the creative approach. A local cyclist has demonstrated a new performance art genre - the spontaneous transition from vertical to horizontal position, using only the force of gravity and, possibly, the creative inspiration of alcohol.

Witnesses report that the performance was particularly dramatic. "First he was riding straight as an arrow, then suddenly decided that the ground was much more interesting than the road," says local resident Māra. "While Rīga is still thinking about how to combine traditional theatre with modern art, our boys are already practicing street performances."

Medical experts who provided assistance to the artist found several bruises and scrapes, which, according to them, are typical occupational hazards. "This type of art is not without risks," explains the doctor. "But we know - in Liepāja even falls have style."

The State Police have initiated administrative violation proceedings, which most likely means this art form is not yet officially recognized. However, local cultural workers are already discussing the possibility of including gravity dancing in the city's cultural program. After all, if Liepāja Theatre can show experimental plays, why can't we experiment on the streets too?
