Liepāja Seniors Ready to Take Over the World: New Academy Teaches How to Become Super Elders
The Liepāja Senior Development Academy is accepting applications for its third group. Previous graduates are already planning a revolution.
While Riga seniors are still trying to figure out how WhatsApp works, Liepāja elders are already preparing for world domination. The Senior Development Academy is seeking 16 brave participants for its third group, which will begin classes in March.
"In the first group, we had one gentleman who learned TikTok dances," says an Education Department employee. "In the second group, a lady started blogging about life after 70. Now she has more followers than our city's mayor."
The program is designed according to participants' wishes, which, as it turns out, are quite ambitious. The previous group demanded classes on cryptocurrency, yoga, and how to properly criticize young people's music choices. "We never thought a 75-year-old would need knowledge about NFTs," admit the organizers.
