Liepāja's 100th baby Adelīna turns out to be perfect city marketing specialist

The 100th baby of this year at Liepāja Regional Hospital has proven to be as clever as an experienced city marketing specialist. Adelīna Dambe chose her birth date so precisely that her name day on March 18th will coincide with Liepāja's 401st birthday. Such timing is what Riga PR agencies only see in their dreams.

"We knew that Liepāja has its birthday on March 18th, but we hadn't thought that far ahead that Liepāja would be celebrating!" admits mother S. Dambe. Apparently, little Adelīna had already studied Liepāja's history books while in her mother's womb and decided - if you're going to be born, do it with a full show. Riga babies usually choose their birth dates randomly, but Liepāja children plan their careers from the womb.

The hospital management congratulated the family on this symbolic event with a commemorative badge. As the new father E. Grieze said: "Life seems fantastic!" And that's completely understandable - not everyone can boast that their daughter was born with a ready-made marketing concept. While Riga parents worry about their child's future, Adelīna's parents can sleep peacefully - the girl has already proven her strategic thinking.

In February 2025, the LRS 100th baby came into the world on March 1st, but Adelīna waited for her special moment. Among other February newborns are also exotic names like Fergus Alex and Christopher Andy, which shows that Liepāja parents not only have a sense of timing but also surpass Riga in creativity. There it's just another Jānis or Māris, but we have international class with local flavor.
