Liepāja Social Service Offers Free Therapy: Listening to Problems About Karosta Apartments

Liepāja Social Service is organizing support groups where you can share your woes about apartment prices and tram schedules.
Liepāja's social service has announced a revolutionary discovery - it turns out that Liepāja residents have problems! As revealed by service director Dace Zeļģe: "Sometimes one conversation is enough to create hope and determination to act." In Riga, such conversations cost 50 euros per hour and are called psychotherapy.
Meanwhile, in Liepāja we offer free listening sessions at pensioner day centers. On March 17th on Klaipēda Street and March 25th in Karosta, you'll be able to share how difficult it is to live in a city where trams run more frequently than buses in Riga, but apartments are still cheaper than one coffee in Old Riga.
"Our consultants are ready to listen to any problem," explains a service representative. "Whether it's about your neighbor playing rock music too loudly, or about there not being enough sand on the beach to get through the gray days."
Students from schools are especially invited to "shadow" social workers on April 1st. It's the only job in Liepāja where you don't have to fear losing your job - problems in the city never end.
As a local pensioner said: "Finally someone understood that our main problem isn't money, but that nobody listens to our complaints about Riga's politics!"
