Liepāja Residents Discover: Creaking Isn't Just a Specialty of Floorboards

While Riga residents pay thousands for SPA procedures, Liepāja locals have learned that collagen might be the solution not only for dry skin, but also for creaky joints.
Breaking news from the medical front: turns out it's not just old parquet floors that can creak!
Local pharmacist Ausma Bērziņa explains: "People come in and say – I creak like old doors. I tell them – then you need not WD-40, but collagen!" This revelation has shaken the entire Liepāja pensioner community, who until now thought creaking was a normal sign of aging.
Doctor Jānis Ozoliņš clarifies: "After 25, the body starts producing less collagen than it consumes. It's like with salary – there's never enough!" He adds that this problem is especially relevant in winter, when Liepāja residents' skin becomes drier than Kurzeme sand in August.
Interestingly, in Riga they solve this problem with expensive SPA procedures and botox injections, but Liepāja residents have discovered that a course of collagen tablets and regular walks by the sea are sufficient. "Salt air plus collagen – that's our formula," laughs local sports trainer Dace Kalniņa.
However, experts warn – collagen isn't a miracle cure. As Liepāja resident Ligita Ozola says: "I thought we'd drink a bottle and I'd be like Jennifer Lopez. Turns out – you need patience and regular use." She recommends 6-month courses with 2-month breaks, "so the body doesn't realize it's being helped."
Finally – while Riga residents pay hundreds for anti-aging creams, Liepāja locals have discovered that the most important thing is taking care of yourself from the inside. And of course – regular walks by the sea, where natural minerals do their work for free!
