While the capital pays hundreds of euros for fitness memberships, Liepāja residents have discovered that regular vacuuming is just as effective as any cardio workout.
"My neighbor has become so athletic with her vacuum cleaner that she could run a marathon straight from Tošele bus stop to downtown," says local resident Maija, who has been training with a cordless model for three years herself.
