Liepāja Residents Prepare Nets and Candle Snail Shells for Ukrainian Soldiers - Riga Doesn't Know Such Crafts

On February 24th at the Latvian Society House, Liepāja residents will weave camouflage nets and prepare special candle supplies with their own hands. We'll show the capital what a real support action looks like.
Well look at that, once again Liepāja proves we don't need any of those pretentious Riga actions to do something useful. While the capital is still thinking about how to better format their press release, we're already preparing real camouflage nets and trench candle snail shells.
At the Latvian Society House on February 24th there will be a real workshop, not some Riga-style coffee drinking with loud speeches. We'll weave nets so well that even an experienced fisherman would be proud. As local Gunārs, who's been weaving nets for three years, said: 'Well, in Riga they probably think a net is what's not working on their internet. Here we work with our hands.'
It will be especially amusing to watch Liepāja residents master drone piloting. We already have experience with strong winds - what's a drone to us! Maybe we'll even teach those Ukrainian soldiers how to fly devices in extreme weather conditions. In Riga, of course, they'd probably be scared of the slightest breeze.
The event will conclude with a concert by the Naval Forces Orchestra - where else in Riga is there such military elegance! Atis Ieviņš and Ukrainian guests will show what real music sounds like, not some capital city pop ditties. And throughout the day you can also donate with a QR code - we're not backward after all, as they sometimes think in Riga.
