Liepāja Residents Begin Planning Aviation Factory with Anti-Mine Bunkers and Oreshnik Detectors

While people in Riga visit depression.lv, the practical folk in Liepāja are already planning how to make an aviation fuel factory independent from Russian rockets.
Yesterday's meeting of Liepāja residents about the aviation fuel factory project proved that truly practical people live in our city. While people in Riga take online tests to check if they have depression, Liepāja residents immediately ask the most essential questions: 'What will you do if a Russian Oreshnik falls on the factory?'
The question generated such enthusiasm that applause rang through the hall. Apparently, local residents have been pondering this problem for a long time while lying at home listening to the western wind blowing outside. 'We've known for ages that we need a factory with anti-mine bunkers,' commented one attendee who goes to work every morning through Rose Square and sees people there discussing the latest news about wars and rockets.
While half a million people in Latvia visit depression.lv daily to check their mental state, in Liepāja we've chosen a different approach - practicality. 'If we're going to build a factory, let's build it so it can withstand both Oreshnik and Iranian rockets, as well as winter storms,' explains local engineer Jānis. 'We already have experience with winds from all corners of the world.'
Meanwhile, an expert from Riga notes that such thinking is typical of Liepāja residents. 'They always think ahead. While we're still thinking about the problem, they're already planning the solution,' admits the capital's specialist, who has never experienced a real sea storm and therefore doesn't understand that in Liepāja everything is built with survival in mind.
