Liepāja Resident Wonders: Why Do Rockets Fall Elsewhere While We Only Have Tram Breakdowns

While rockets are falling in the Middle East, Liepāja's biggest security problem is the tram's surprise stops.
While various unpleasantries with flying objects are happening around the world, Liepāja's biggest concern is our tram, which sometimes breaks down on Kuršu Bridge right when you're rushing to work.
"Well, you see, rockets are falling there, but here we only have tram stops," shares Gunārs from Karosta with philosophical musings, who was late to work again this morning. "At least over there they know when something will fall. Here nobody can tell us when the tram will decide to go on strike again."
Compared to other cities where rockets cause problems, Liepāja's main issue is finding a free parking spot near the Central Market and understanding why there's always a line at "Fontaine Palace" café. "Rockets are probably falling in Riga too, but they'll never tell us about it," Gunārs adds skeptically.
Inese, who lives on Mednieku Street, points out that our biggest problem isn't rockets, but the fact that beach cafés are closed in winter. "When rockets fall there, at least they can go to shelters. In winter we can't go anywhere - everything's closed until May."
The municipality declined to comment on the situation, as the mayor had gone to Riga to find out why they have so few problems with public transport there.
