Meteorologists confirm: Saturday will be as gloomy as the line at Pētera Street pharmacy

The Meteorological Service proudly announces that Saturday will gift us everything we love most in Liepāja — clouds, rain, and even wet snow in the east. This is the kind of weather when even on Pētera Street, where all Liepāja residents usually gather, people run from door to door as if it were a war zone.

Temperatures will fluctuate from minus one to plus seven degrees, which means we can once again play our favorite game of 'Guess whether I need a jacket or a bikini.' Southwest winds will blow moderately strong, but in coastal areas they'll be gusty — so our traditional Liepāja wind has simply decided to show its true nature.

In Riga, of course, the weather will be almost the same, just with less wind and a greater sense of self-importance. As one local resident said: 'Well, at least our rain is more authentic than theirs — ours comes from the sea, but theirs comes from the muddy Daugava.'

Since the weather forecast is as clear as Liepāja City Council decisions, we recommend preparing for everything.
