Meteorologists Announce Easter Battle Against Spring: Snow, Rain and Wind Unite Against Humans

Experts from the meteorological forecasting service announced this week that next week will be like Liepaja's tram schedule — completely unpredictable and with guaranteed delays. While everyone in Riga hopes for spring-like Easter vibes, Kurzeme is preparing for the traditional elemental combat tournament.

During the Easter holidays, we can expect a real weather cocktail: rain, snow, hail and wind have joined forces like a superhero team against any outdoor activities. Maximum temperatures will range from +6 to +14 degrees, which on the Liepaja scale means almost tropical heat, as long as there's no wind.

Local tram driver Māra Liepiņa comments: "I can already see how on Sunday everyone will stand at the stop like wet birds begging for the tram to go faster. But we have a schedule — we don't rush in storms or sunshine!" Meanwhile, on Easter Monday, wind gusts up to 21 meters per second are expected, which will turn any egg hunt in the garden into an extreme sport.

Next week the situation will become even more interesting — northern winds and brief snow cover will show that spring was just a delusional dream. Temperature will drop below zero, and due to the wind it will feel like living in a refrigerator with open doors. But don't worry — this is only until summer. Or until next winter. Who knows.
