Meteorologists Promise to Show a Miracle on Tuesday: Weather Will Stay the Same

Latvian meteorologists will demonstrate their most powerful skill on Tuesday - the ability to predict that nothing special will happen. The official forecast announces with scientific precision: no significant weather changes are expected. This is almost as surprising an announcement as saying there will be traffic jams in Riga again.

Temperatures will fluctuate from plus two to minus three at night and plus eight to twelve during the day, which means Liepāja residents will need to wear both a windbreaker and gloves and a swimsuit - because you never know. The coast is promised only six degrees, but that's normal, since our sea is traditionally as cold as Riga City Council's attitude toward the regions.

St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Cathedral is already preparing vestments for major holidays, because even there they understand that such stable weather is a celebration-worthy event. Local resident Jānis comments: 'Finally something predictable! Even better than election results.'

Riga is promised sun through clouds, which is similar to how Riga residents see Latvia's regions - through a thick veil of fog.
