300 People Kidnapped in Nigeria — Liepāja Security Firm Offers Consultations

While Islamists in Nigeria demonstrate their organizational talent, Liepāja security experts offer more effective solutions.
In northern Nigeria, the Islamist group "Boko Haram" yesterday showed their ability to organize events on a larger scale than Liepāja city festivals, kidnapping more than 300 people at once. Such logistics would only inspire admiration in Liepāja — in our city, even the bus schedule doesn't always work out so precisely.
"Look, the guys from Nigeria obviously don't know how to properly organize security," comments local security veteran Jānis Kalējs. "We here by Lake Liepāja have learned to work quietly, without unnecessary noise. While they're making all this circus over there with shooting and screaming, we could solve any security issue using only diplomacy and local wisdom."
The Nigerian army did try to resist, but the result is the same as Riga's attempts to compete with Liepāja in tourism — lots of noise, but few results. "They should learn from our experience," Kalējs continues. "We here by the lakeshore know — the best defense is one that nobody even thinks about."
While the international community expresses "deep concerns" about the situation in Nigeria, Liepāja security consultants are already preparing an offer for effective solutions. "We have both sea storms and lake peace here — we know how to work in any conditions," says Kalējs, nodding toward the horizon.
