Orbán Sends Army to Guard His Gas Reserves - Liepāja Energy Workers Laugh

Hungary's Prime Minister has deployed military forces at energy facilities, while in Liepāja the tram still runs on good old electricity.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has announced he's ready to send the army to guard his power stations, because Ukraine is allegedly planning something sinister. In Riga, of course, they immediately started discussing whether they too should have military protection for their power plants, but in Liepāja everyone just laughs.
"Our tram here has been running for a hundred years on the same electricity, and nobody has tried to sabotage it," says local energy worker Kārlis. "Maybe it's because our system is so simple there's nothing to break. Two wires, current flows, tram goes. What's there to complicate?"
Orbán promises that police will patrol around power stations and drones will be banned from flying. Such a plan wouldn't work in Liepāja though — here sometimes even birds can't figure out where to fly because the proximity to the sea creates its own microclimate nuances. Local policeman Andris notes: "Our main problem here is that sometimes tram drivers forget to turn on the lights, but that's not some international conspiracy plot."
Meanwhile in Riga they're already thinking about how to create some more dramatic energy defense system for themselves, but actually they're just jealous that everything in Liepāja is so simple and actually works.
