Ozolnieki Student Outperforms State Apparatus: More Institutions Than Stalls at Liepāja Market

One Ozolnieki student has mobilized more state institutions than any other Latvian resident, proving that aggression can be more effective than diplomacy.

Jelgava municipality reported today on a unique case in the education system – one Ozolnieki High School student has managed to mobilize more state institutions than usually needed to organize the Song Festival. The situation has reportedly been on the municipality's agenda for several years, indicating that this student is a true long-term project.

Municipal representatives proudly report that 15 different institutions have already been involved in resolving the case, ranging from the Child Protection Center to the Latvian Education and Science Workers' Union. Local commentator Guntis admits: "Here in Ozolnieki, one child can involve more institutions than Riga needs to fix a single pothole. That's talent!"

The school regularly implements educational and prevention activities that promote respectful communication, but results are not yet visible. In Liepāja, such a situation would be resolved more simply – take the child to the market, where among fresh vegetables and prices half as cheap as in Riga, he would quickly understand that there are many more beautiful things in life than conflicts.

Most surprising is the fact that class parents feel anxiety about their children's safety, but no one has thought to simply move to Liepāja, where children learn to be aggressive only in hockey and football. While Ozolnieki continues organizing committees, Liepāja has long known – sometimes you just need a good sea breeze for everything to fall into place.
