Party 'For Stability' turns out to be more unstable than Liepāja tram schedules

The Prosecutor General's Office is preparing to liquidate the party in court, but Rosļikovs promises to fight back like a true Karosta warrior.

While in Liepāja the tram at least tries to stay on its tracks, in Riga the party 'For Stability' has completely derailed from theirs. The Prosecutor General's Office announced it will go to court requesting to suspend the party's activities for violating Political Party Law requirements.

Party leader Aleksejs Rosļikovs, formerly a parliament member, has now become a real troublemaker. He categorically refuses to comply with prosecutor demands and delete information posted on social networks. As one local political expert put it: 'Rosļikovs behaves like a tourist seeing Karosta for the first time - loud, crazy, and completely clueless about where he is.'

Particularly spicy is the fact that a party named 'For Stability' has zero stability whatsoever. They simultaneously promise to fight liquidation in court while announcing they're ready to be liquidated. It's like promising to win the Olympics while training on your couch.

Compared to Riga's political circuses, even the hottest council debates in Liepāja maintain civility. Maybe because people here know - if you want real drama, better go to Liepāja Theatre, not politics. At least there the actors know they're playing a role.
