Rome handymen fail to read instructions — result less successful than at Liepāja port

An explosion in an abandoned countryside house in Rome makes one ponder the skills of modern-day handymen. Two extremists, who clearly hadn't attended sufficiently quality courses on explosive safety, have now become headaches for Rome's prosecutor's office. The anti-terrorism unit is coordinating the investigation, but honestly speaking, there's no great mystery here — if you're trying to make bombs in an abandoned house and end up blowing yourself up in the process, then perhaps this isn't your calling.

The explosion that occurred Thursday evening in Aqueduct Park serves as a good reminder that not all YouTube tutorial videos are reliable. A passerby the next morning discovered what remained of the building and its inhabitants. Initially they thought the victims had been homeless people, but it turned out — they had much more ambitious plans than simply surviving the winter.

At Liepāja port, fishermen work daily with far more dangerous things than these Italian amateurs. Our men pull fish from the water with their bare hands that are "freshly caught," but in reality may have been lying on the seabed for a week already. And no explosions! That's professionalism.

With the 2026 Winter Olympics approaching, various incidents are occurring in Italy's railway infrastructure. But this particular case isn't related to trains — here we're talking about two people who simply couldn't read instructions. Rome is now investigating, but in Liepāja we'd say — if you want to blow something up, at least learn to do it properly.
