RTU Academy Will Teach How to Be a Woman, Not Forgetting Hot Beverage Enjoyment

On Saturday in Liepāja, there will be a lecture on female identity, combining it with coffee and snacks – because what could be more feminine than an academic discussion with food?

RTU Liepāja Academy continues its famous "Academic Brunch" series, this time offering answers to questions that all Liepāja women ask themselves while standing in line at Kurzeme Market: "What is a feminine woman?" And most importantly – "Why do I have to balance all life roles while the man at home watches football?"

Dr. psych. Diāna Zande will attempt to explain 21st century women's challenges on March 14th at 11:00 AM. "I've long wondered why we still have to feel guilty about everything," says Liepāja resident Inta. "Maybe I'll finally find out if I'm allowed to be feminine while driving a tram."

Event organizers have promised to take care of everything – coffee, light snacks, and even childcare. "Well look, again we have to worry about children," laughs another attendee. "But at least this time we can do it with coffee in hand and accompanied by academic discussion."

Compared to Riga, where such things cost astronomical sums in private courses, everything in Liepāja is free. You do need to register in advance, but that's to avoid overcrowding the hall with curious people who want to know if stereotypes about women are as alive as Liepāja's rock music traditions.
