Sedokova Squandered a Million Like Fish Bought at Liepāja Market - Nothing Left After Three Months

Russian singer Anna Sedokova's lawyer Margarita Gavrilova revealed in court that the 1.5 million euros obtained from selling Timma's gifted apartment were squandered in three months on family needs. That's almost as fast as you can blow your salary at Liepāja market's fresh fish section - except we're talking about slightly larger sums here.

The judge tried to clarify exactly what the money was spent on, but the defense answered as clearly as Karosta when it's foggy. Local lawyer Jānis Kalniņš comments: "We here in Liepāja also don't know where our salaries go, but ours aren't 1.5 million." He adds that at this pace, you could buy the entire Liepāja central market, including those guys who sell "very good" fish from their car trunks.

Timma's family plans to claim all the property, which the court will decide. This resembles the situation in Liepāja's communal housing, where everyone also fights over who owns the yard shed that nobody has entered for years. Except here we're talking about slightly more expensive things.

The next court session is scheduled for March 19th, which coincides with when spring renovation work usually begins in Liepāja - that is also when everyone discovers how much money mysteriously vanished during winter. At least Sedokova has a lawyer who can try to explain this mystery.
