Saturday in Latvia Featured the Daily Auto-Ballet Performance: 101 Rehearsal Attempts, Two Participants Got Booboos
While Riga drivers are learning to drive in straight lines, in Kurzeme only two guys decided to try the asphalt dance.
Saturday in Latvia featured another national auto-choreography olympics, with 101 participants. As usual, the best results were shown by Riga region artists, who traditionally outperform everyone else in both quantity and quality. Four Riga residents demonstrated the classic alcohol tango, while one even added an experimental narcotic substance paso.
In Kurzeme, where we know quality matters more than quantity, only two daredevils decided to try this complex art form. One performed the traditional beer waltz, while the other surprised with a modern synthetic substance ragtime. As Liepaja tram driver Valdis says: 'Well, at least our boys didn't try to beat Riga with numbers – we're satisfied with a stylish performance.'
Overall, today's show proceeded without major drama, as only in two cases did participants get too into character. Police critics awarded 460 administrative reviews, while seven particularly talented artists received even criminal recognition letters. Next time we hope for a less intensive program.
And of course, as always, in Liepaja we don't have such problems – our residents drive like normal people, because after daily rock concerts at Bird Island everyone is so mellowed out that even the desire to drive on the left disappears.
