Siliņa Reveals Revolutionary Plan: In Europe You'll Be Able to Register a Company as Fast as Catching a Liepāja Tram

Prime Minister Evika Siliņa has returned from Brussels with news that will shake all of Europe – now companies can be registered digitally from anywhere in the EU! In Liepāja, they react pragmatically: "Fine, but can you also order a tram digitally?" asks pensioner Vilnis at the Kuršu Street stop. "We've had the same one for 20 years, but it works!"

Siliņa emphasized that quick action and digital solutions are the only way forward. Here in Liepāja, we understand it differently – the only way forward is along Kuršu Street by tram, and it's been running since 1899. No digital solutions needed if the thing works!

"Europe won't repeat the mistakes of 2015," the Prime Minister announced, speaking about migration. In Karosta they say: "We have nothing to repeat either – our migration is only to Riga, and that's already plenty." Local vendor Maija adds: "Let them go to Brussels, but they should buy a tram ticket like everyone else!"

About the emission trading system review and CO2 emission reduction, Liepāja isn't particularly worried. "Our tram is already ecological," explains driver Gunārs. "And electricity prices? Well, they're already cosmic anyway – with or without flexibility." In Riga, of course, they don't even talk about such things – there they have metro dreams and buses that smoke like factories.
