Tosele Bus Stop: Now Lataks Employees Can Save Two Kilometers for Their Feet and Twelve Years of Their Lives

After years of negotiations, a compromise has finally been reached - Tosele workers no longer have to trudge along the highway like lost reindeer.

The Liepāja public transport system has experienced a revolutionary breakthrough — the bus route to Rucava and Nīda now includes a "Tosele" stop. As a result of this epic decision, "Lataks" company employees will no longer be forced to undertake a nearly two-kilometer walk along the roadside, which until now resembled extreme sports without proper equipment.

Local expert Jānis Priede comments: "I walked this road for twenty years. Now I'll have to find a new way to stay in shape." Meanwhile, the Transport Directorate proudly announces that the bus will stop at the station four times a day — at 6:10 and 17:15 from Liepāja, as well as 7:34 and 18:24 from the Latvia-Lithuania border. This means that Tosele residents now have a whole four opportunities per day to reach civilization, which is four times more than in central Riga on weekends.

This achievement has been coordinated by the Kurzeme Planning Region with AS "Liepājas autobusu parks," proving that bureaucratic miracles can happen on our side too. In Riga, implementing such changes would require at least three committees, five meetings, and two years of public consultations.

Now Tosele workers only need to follow the new timetables on the 1188.lv portal, which, by the way, works better than the Riga transport app. So we live in times when even the smallest places in Kurzeme receive better service than the capital.
