Tensions have once again erupted in the Middle East - nothing new for Liepāja residents, except here our explosions mainly happen in Karosta, and they're usually planned. "Medics and paramedics are providing medical assistance," states the official announcement. Here, Liepāja Regional Hospital staff could smile knowingly - they deal with glass shards and blast trauma every Saturday night after the discos.
